Nintendo 3DS: JP users can now pin badges to folders

Badge Collection Center is a Free 2 Play (or Free 2 Start, if we follow Satoru Iwata’s terminology) allowing Nintendo 3DS owners to customise the Home Menu of their console with various badges, bonus backgrounds and more. Nintendo regularly adds new stuff, meaning there’s always a reason to go back and play the game.

And with today’s new Firmware update for the Nintendo 3DS, there’s even more reasons to do so. Starting with the 9.6.0.24-J update, users can now pin badges to folders, allowing them to customise the Home Menu of their console even further. This new feature is quite handy, as it allows you, for example, to add the corresponding console icon for Virtual Console folders!

Unfortunately, this new feature is only available in Japan, as the Badge Collection Center game hasn’t been released in the West yet…
