Nights of Azure 2 getting Project Zero / Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water costume, footage

Yesterday, Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon was showcased on a Koei-Tecmo livestream on YouTube, in Japan. Nothing really new was shown in this livestream, which isn’t all too surprising given the game comes out next month in Japan (on August 31st, simultaneously on all platforms).

However, a small announcement was made: the game is getting a special costume as free DLC. On Nintendo Switch, the special costume is based on Yuuri Kozukata’s out fit. For those who never heard of her, she’s one of three protagonists of Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water (known as Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water in North America and Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko in Japan), released on the Wii U.

Here’s what this bonus costume looks like:

Since that game is a co-production between Koei-Tecmo and Nintendo, and was only ever released on Wii U, it makes sense that her costume would be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch (the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game have a different one, based on another Koei-Tecmo game).

Right now, it’s not clear whether the costume will also be included with the European and North America versions of the game, but there’s really no reason for it not to.

But that’s not all: during this livestream, some actual gameplay footage was shown (with the game played live). If you missed the livestream, no problem: here’s our recording of the two segments with footage!

Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon (Switch) will be released on August 31st in Japan, October 24th in North America, and October 27th in Europe.
