Monster Strike: latest batch of details and screenshots

Monster Strike 3DSA few weeks ago, mixi promised new details about Monster Strike 3DS on a weekly basis. It looks like the company has picked up Monday for those weekly updates, which means it’s already time for a new one! This week, we get a good look at some monsters abilities, the battle screen, and the story.

The screenshots below compare the battle screen of the Nintendo 3DS version and the mobile version. As mentioned previously, the screen is horizontal on Nintendo 3DS, but the battle system remains unchanged: if you’re used to the mobile version, you certainly won’t feel lost! The developers also added several difficulty levels, so that everyone will be able to enjoy the game however they want.

For players looking for a challenge, there will be “Transcendence Quests”, which are said to reproduce the same level of difficulty as the mobile version (the horizontal battle screen apparently makes the game easier, since there’s less space between your monsters and enemies). To beat those, you will have to think carefully about which monsters to send in battle, where to position them, etc.

Here’s the latest batch of screenshots for Monster Strike:

Finally, some stats about the Monster Strike anime on YouTube. Last week, mixi announced that all episodes have been watched over 5 million times, and that the official account has over 120 000 subscribers.

Monster Strike (3DS) comes out on December 17th in Japan.
