Let’s Play! Oink Games – Ver. 9.0.0

  • Release date: December 6th 2023 (North America) / December 7th 2023 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:

New Title

  • “Rafter Five” added to library (paid DLC).

Icons

  • Five new “Rafter Five” icons have been added to the randomly-unlockable library of player icons.
    • You can get new icons occasionally after playing titles multiple times.

Lobby / Chat

  • Added emotes.
    • “Rafter Five”

SCOUT

  • When playing “With Friends”, the default mode will be changed to “1 Round”.
  • It will now also display that the round will end if you Scout for the other players besides the Main Player.

Other unlisted changes and problem fixes have been included for a more comfortable playing experience.

  • Release date: March 15th 2023 (North America) / March 16th 2023 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:

New Title

  • “Nine Tiles” added to library (paid DLC).

 

Trial Play

  • Invitation limit lifted. Changed from one person to unlimited.
    • If one person buys the game, they can play together with as many friends as possible through Trial Play.

System

  • Added the ability to earn and display “Medals.”
    • “Medals” can be earned when certain conditions are met while playing the game.
    • Medals earned will be displayed when view games and in the player list in the lobby.

Icons

  • Six new “Nine Tiles” icons have been added to the library of randomly-releasable player icons.
    • New icons can occasionally be acquired by playing a few games.

Table / Matching

  • Zooming in on the back of the game box has been expanded to let you see more than before.
  • When playing “Online/ With Anyone,” after a game, 10 seconds must pass before the next game will be able to begin.

General

  • When playing “Online/ With Anyone,” pausing the game from the menu will be available ONLY when the host and CPU are participating.

Purchasing games

  • Fixed a bug that prevented playing purchased games when not connected to the Internet (iOS/Android only).

Lobby / Chat

  • Added emotes.
    • Six variations from “Nine Tiles”
  • Adjusted some behaviors to prevent annoying behavior when using emotes.

Moon Adventure

  • New role added: “Traveler.”
    • Does not have any abilities and is intended for people who have played a fair amount of Moon Adventure.

In A Grove

  • Added a new indicator to make it clear that after placing a detective chip, the next player will not be able to see the Suspect where the chip was placed.

Other unlisted changes and problem fixes have been included for a more comfortable playing experience.

Let’s Play! Oink Games – Ver. 5.1.0

  • Release date: December 25th 2022 (North America) / December 26th 2022 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:

New Title

  • “SCOUT” added to the library (paid DLC). [out on December 26th]

Icons

  • Three types of “SCOUT” icons have been added to the randomly released player icons.
    • You can get new icons occasionally after playing games several times.

Table / Matching

  • Table creation and search have been integrated into the “Let’s Play!” button.
    • You’ll be matched into an available table. If there aren’t any, a new table will be created and other players can join.
  • Matching feature will work with multiple games.
    • From your selected games, you’ll be matched into the board game with a table you can join immediately.
  • Added list view and sorting categories for the games.
  • Game designers’ names are now displayed and easier to see.

Purchasing games

  • Added support for purchasing games.
  • Added support for “trial play.”
    • Even if you do not own a paid DLC game, if someone owns the game you can join in a “trial play” (up to 1 player per table).

System

  • The “Online” menu transition has been changed to be easier to understand.
  • Private” and “Public” have been renamed to “With Friends” and “With Anyone.

Lobby / Chat

  • Added emotes.
    • ”SCOUT” game icons

Deep Sea Adventure

  • Added “Expansion Dice” to game settings.

Let’s Play! Oink Games – Ver. 4.0.0

  • Release date: September 21st 2022 (North America) / September 22nd 2022 (Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:

New Title

  • “Fafnir” added to library.

Icons

  • Nintendo Switch version only: displays of the number of unlocked icons to matched with the Steam version.
    • If you have been playing since Ver. 3 or earlier, the 51 icons will be unlocked from the start (note: the icons appearance has been changed. Number of usable icons remains the same).

Table / Matching

  • A block function has been added.
    • While blocked, operations will appear as follows.
      • Tables with players you’ve blocked will not display on the “Find a Table” screen.
      • When joining a table, if a player you’ve blocked has already joined the table, “A blocked player is present. Unable to join table” will be displayed and wi’ll prevent you from joining the table.
      • When joining a table, if you are blocked by a player who is already at the table, the message “A blocked player is present. Unable to join table” will appear and you won’t be able to join.

System

  • Nintendo Switch version only: the icon in the Switch Home menu has been changed.

Lobby / Chat

  • Added an emote.
    • “Fafnir” game icons.

Moon Adventure

  • Reduced the lag time between when a button is displayed and when it becomes clickable.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to become inoperable if the next player connects at the right moment at the end of a turn.

This Face, That Face?

  • Japanese version: added furigana text to supplement the kanji on subject cards.
  • Game flow change: if a player completes the face without placing any parts, the round will be skipped.
  • Fixed a bug in “Anytime” mode, where the disconnected player’s vote would appear as if the player had voted first, even though it was made after the round was “Completed!”.

  • Release date: March 17th 2022 (North America, Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:

New Title

  • “This Face, That Face?” has been added.

All Titles

  • When playing Offline in multiplayer mode, the result screen has been changed so that every player with a controller must press the OK button before proceeding.

Tables / Matching

  • Create Table
    • Settings now includes the option: “Text Chat: Enable/Disable”
      • Added text chat Enable/Disable icon to the “Find a Table” screen.
      • When the “Communicating with Others” setting in Nintendo’s Parental Controls is set even to “Not Restricted,” a change has been made so that communication is only possible through “Emote Chat.”
    • Setting the max number of players is now an option.
  • Find a Table
    • Changed so that players are able to join tables with ongoing games.
    • “Create Table” button added for when tables are unavailable.
    • The number of tables for each game will now be displayed in the upper right corner of each game’s box.
  • When exiting a table, instead of going back to the main title screen, the game will now return to the previous screen.

System

  • Settings that appear like “Setting Option: Number” will now allow for left and right button input.
  • When playing online, a record of the players you’ve met will now be kept in the “Users You Have Played With” section of the Switch’s “Add Friend” settings.

Lobby / Chat

  • The scroll bar for Game Selection screen has been replaced with a lineup of each games’ icon.
  • The shared “Time Limit” under “Game options” can now be individually set for each title.
  • Added emotes.
    • “This Face, That Face?” game icons
    • The numbers 0-9
    • Up, down, left, right arrows
  • The chat window has been expanded to include two lines for easier selection of emotes.

Deep Sea Adventure

  • Added a crown to the player UI to indicate who is in first place.

Startups

  • ”Mission Objective” has been changed to “Difficulty,” and is now shown with stars.

A Fake Artist Goes to New York

  • When it’s time to vote for the Fake Artist, on the screen an indicator showing the Switch controller’s number has been added.

How to download updates for Let’s Play! Oink Games for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Let’s Play! Oink Games, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
