LEGO Dimensions: more details, trailer, release date

After some leaks earlier today, Warner Bros. made its announcement regarding LEGO Dimensions (it’s LEGO toys-to-life game). The game will come out on September 27th (in North America), and is developed by Travelers Tales Games (which has handled pretty much all the LEGO video games in the past decade). The Wii U is the only Nintendo console to get the game, as no Nintendo 3DS version is planned.

The starter pack will cost 99.99$ in North America (99.99£ in the UK), and includes:

– the LEGO Toy Pad (which allows you to send characters and items into the game);
– bricks to build the LEGO Gateway
– 3 LEGO minifigures (Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle)
– the LEGO Batmobile

Several Packs (including characters, levels and vehicles) will be released throughout 2015 (they cost 14.99$ / , with more to be announced by September 27th. Level / Team Packs costs 29.99£ / 24.99$, and Fun Packs cost 14.99$/£.

– Back to the Future Level Pack with a LEGO Marty McFly minifigure
– LEGO Ninjago Team Pack with LEGO Kai and LEGO Cole minifigures
– 3 LEGO Ninjago Fun Packs with LEGO Jay, LEGO Nya and LEGO Zane minifigures
– 2 DC Comics Fun Packs with LEGO Wonder Woman and LEGO Cyborg minifigures
– 3 The Lord of the Rings Fun Packs with LEGO Gollum, LEGO Gimli and LEGO Legolas minifigures
– 4 The Lego Movie Fun packs with Emmet, Bad Cop, Benny and Unikitty characters
– The Wizard of Oz Fun Pack with a LEGO Wicked Witch of the West minifigure

More packs will be released once the game has launched, and upcoming expansion pack will work with the Start Pack even in the Fall of next year.
