LEGO Dimensions: first details leaked before official reveal

Today, Warner Bros. will officially announce LEGO Dimensions, the LEGO toys-to-life game (similar to Skylanders and Disney Infinity). But it looks like some details have already leaked before the actual reveal: the Wii U Starter Pack.

Apparently, this pack will include:

• LEGO Dimensions video game (only confirmed for Wii U so far)
• LEGO Toy Pad
• LEGO Gateway building bricks
• 3 LEGO minifigures (Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle)
• LEGO Batmobile vehicle

In LEGO Dimensions, a vortex suddenly appears in various LEGO worlds, sucking in various characters from DC Comics, Lord of the Rings and the LEGO Movie. Then, 3 characters (Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle) decides to jump into the vortex in order to save everyone’s worlds. The bad guy behind all this seems to be called Lord Vortech.

As expected, creativity will be key in this game, where players will be able to put together characters and worlds from totally different universes and franchises (like LEGO Bad Cop driving the DeLorean Time Machine, or the Ninjago Masters of Spinjitsu fighting alongside Wonder Woman, etc.).
