Kirby’s Blowout Blast has a level inspired by Green Greens from Kirby’s Dream Land

Earlier this week, Nintendo finally announced the release for Kirby’s Blowout Blast on Nintendo 3DS (via the Nintendo eShop): July 4th in Japan, and July 6th in Europe and North America.

For those who forgot or missed the announcement during the Nintendo Direct, back in April, Kirby’s Blowout Blast is an expanded version of the Kirby’s 3D Rumble mini-game, found in Kirby: Planet Robobot. It features a lot more stages: 25 (as opposed to just 3 for Kirby’s 3D Rumble), and 5 different worlds. More stages, and more variety!

Today, HAL Laboratory shared a neat video of the game over on Twitter. It showcases one of the levels (most likely the first one), which happens to be inspired by the Green Greens level from Kirby’s Dream Land (the very first Kirby game, originally released on the GameBoy back in 1992).

Here’s the video:

This neat little easter egg certainly makes us wonder if there are other stages based on levels from previous Kirby games in Kirby’s Blowout Blast. Since this is a game released for the 25th Anniversary of the Kirby series, there’s most definitely going to be quite a few easter eggs in the game…

Kirby’s Blowout Blast (3DS eShop) comes out on July 4th in Japan, and July 7th in Europe and North America.
