In March, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe was the best-selling game for the second month in a row. It sold 147 112 additional units, which is a great result and points towards big long-term sales potential (though part of the reason sales were so high in March is that the game was released during the last week of February).

Sales did drop for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (75 831 units sold), but they remain solid enough. As for Splatoon 3, its sales were fairly stable with 54 873 units sold.

Publishers

Once again, Nintendo was the most successful publisher in Japan with about 438 000 units sold in March. As Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon was the only release during that month, the vast majority of sales come from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe and the usual evergreen titles.

Capcom is #2 with 190 000 units sold. Those sales come almost exclusively from Resident Evil 4. Finally, Koei-Tecmo is #3 with 166 000 units sold thanks to Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, and Wild Hearts.
