Indie news (Oct. 4) – Pirate Pop Plus / SteamWorld Collection (North America)

Today’s Indie news: an interview for Pirate Pop Plus, but also…

  • SteamWorld Collection
  • Choice Provisions

Pirate Pop Plus

Yesterday, Miketendo64 published an interview with Dave Proctor from 13AM Games, about Pirate Pop Plus. It covers various topics, such as when the release date will be announced (soon!), if Pirate Pop Plus only appeals to reto gamers, how involved they are with the game’s development, players reactions at gamescom 2016 and PAX West 2016, and more.

Here’s an excerpt:

Part of the reason that we wanted to start 13AM Shipping Solutions is that we have such a big team and that we learned so much in our first couple of years becoming a studio. We wanted to use what we learned about the business side—how to submit builds, handle marketing materials, and how to organize release dates—and bring it to a new studio with a game we found fun.

SteamWorld Collection

Yesterday, Image & Form announced that the release of the SteamWorld Collection in North America was delayed to November 1st. If you’re only waiting for the digital version of SteamWorld Heist on Wii U, there’s nothing to worry about: it will be released in October as scheduled, and only the collection at retail is delayed.

Naturally, our Upcoming Releases page has already been updated to reflect this delay!
