Super Meat Boy
Last week, BlitWorks confirmed that the Wii U version of Super Meat Boy would be released on May 12th in Europe and North America. The game will be compatible with both Off-TV play and the Wii U Pro Controller. Good news for players who want to save money: the game will get 20% off discount at launch, and during the first two weeks (until May 26th). The game will cost $14 / £13 / €14.
Here’s the trailer for the Wii U version of Super Meat Boy:
And here’s a quote from the press release that seems to imply a Nintendo 3DS version is in the works:
Super Meat Boy launched in 2010 on Xbox 360 and PC, and was immediately labeled as a definitive work in the sub-genre of brutally difficult platformers. Since then, gamers all over the world have been waiting to play it on other platforms. It was finally released on PS4 and Vita last year and with the Wii U version arriving this month, only the 3DS will be missing (but maybe not for too long ;))
Gunscape
On Twitter, Blowfish Studios revealed that development of the Wii U version of Gunscape was in the final stages. After that, the game will be sent to Nintendo for certification. Unfortunately, it looks like there’s still a couple of weeks left before we get a proper release date!
PixelMaker
Last week, Mike Oliphant from NostaticSoftware announced that PixelMaker (released last week in Europe) would come out this Thursday in North America (on May 5th)!
