Inazuma Walker Vol. 10: Inazuma Eleven Ares footage and trailers

Today, Level-5 livestreamed the latest episode of Inazuma Walker, its webshow entirely dedicated to the Inazuma Eleven series (and more precisely Inazuma Eleven Ares). This was a pretty interesting episode, with a new trailer for the anime series, a trailer for the cross-media project, and finally some proper gameplay footage!

If you’re only interested in the Inazuma Eleven Ares game (and/or The Snack World: Trejarers Gold), make sure to check out this post!

Here’s the gameplay footage from the Inazuma Eleven Ares game (platform not confirmed yet):

Next, here’s the latest trailer for the Cross-media project:

And finally, here’s the trailer for the anime series:

The first segment was all about Inazuma Valentine, and the many pictures of chocolates and drawing fans made for their favourite characters were shown.

The second segment was about the big Inazuma Eleven event that was held in January. Konomi Akira, a professional cosplayer, was the first guest of this episode, and naturally, the discussion was about Inazuma Eleven cosplay. After that, they showed a video recap of the event.

Remember the special illustrations showing Inazuma Eleven characters in a fantasy setting? It turns out this was from the ending (presumably of the anime series)!

It was also confirmed that the manga would debut on March 15th, in the next issue of CoroCoro magazine (though it will also be available elsewhere, like the MangaOne app). The first chapter is about Inazuma Eleven Reloaded, which bridges the original Inazuma Eleven series and Inazuma Eleven Ares.

Then, some special illustrations were shown, but the meaning behind them wasn’t explained.

The third segment was about the Inazuma Eleven Ares project as a whole, and explained what it was all about. It was just a recap of previously known details, so you can skip ahead if you already know all there is to know!

First, Inazuma Eleven Ares is a parallel story, that originates from the original Inazuma Eleven game. There’s three protagonists:

  • Inamori Asuto
  • Haizaki Ryouhei
  • Nosaka Yuuma

There’s also a sponsors system, that was mentioned back when the whole project was announced, in 2016.

They also mentioned the Inazuma Eleven: Outer Code series of anime shorts, but didn’t show a new one, unfortunately!

Finally, they confirmed the debut date of each part of the project:

  • game: this Summer
  • anime series: April 6th in Jpaan
  • manga: March 15th in Japan
  • toys: Spring 2018

After that, they showed two trailers: one for the anime series, and one for the Cross-media project. You will find both above!

Once the two trailers shown, it was time for the 4th segment, which was about the Inazuma Eleven Ares game. We finally got to see some proper footage, not from a test or anything: you can find the video above!

During the 5th segment, two people from Takara TOMY came to talk and showcase the toys they’re releasing this Spring: the Eleven Band and the Inazuma Licences. You can find more details about both in this post!

They also announced a special collaboration with The Snack World: starting this Summer, blind box will include Jara toys based on the three protagonists from Inazuma Eleven Ares.

Once that segment was over, Akihiro Hino insisted that they showed something not related to Inazuma Eleven… a trailer for The Snack World: Trejarers Gold, on Nintendo Switch!

The 6th segment was about a new “project” for the Inazuma Walker livestreams… a fan art contest! It runs until March 31st, and the winning entry will be shown during the Inazuma Walker Vol. 11 livestream.

To participate, you have to do the following:

  • follow the official Twitter account (@inazuma_project)
  • create your illustration and tweet it
  • make sure you include the following hashtag: #イナズマイレブンアートコンテスト

The theme for this fan art contest is… there isn’t one! The only “restriction” is that your creation has to be about Inazuma Eleven, but that was pretty obvious. You can even post fanart created before the contest, multiple fanarts, though of course, it all need to be yours!

The Top 11 entries will then be shown on the Twitter account, and will be made into a Twitter header. But the winner will get something more: a special “answer illustration” by the character designer of the series himself! Said winner will be revealed during the Inazuma Walker Vol. 11 livestream.

More details can be found on the official website!

After that, they showed some concept-art for Inazuma Eleven Ares, including a really rare illustration showing the “main team” before they settled on the three protagonists theme.

Finally, it was time for the usual misc. announcements that always come at the end of each livestream. First, Episode 21 to 26 of the original Inazuma Eleven anime series will be available on YouTube from March 19th onwards.

On March 24th and March 25th, Level-5 will be at Anime Japan 2018, with the following three anime series:

  • Layton Mystery Agency ~Katrielle’s Mystery Files~
  • Inazuma Eleven Ares
  • Yo-kai Watch: Shadow Side

You can find more details about each anime in this post.

They shared some details about the various stage presentations for those animes, and showed some of the goods that will be available for purchase. You can find more details about that over at the official website!

Finally, it was announced that Inazuma Walker Vol. 11 would be livestreamed on April 5th, a day before the Inazuma Eleven Ares anime debuts on TV Tokyo. There, the Inazuma Eleven Reloaded episode will be shown.
