Inazuma Eleven Ares delayed to this Winter in Japan

The latest issue of CoroCoro magazine reveals that Yo-kai Watch 4, the latest mainline entry in the Yo-kai Watch 4, has been delayed to Spring 2019. Unfortuantely, it looks like it’s not the only Level-5 game to be delayed, as that same magazine reveals that Inazuma Eleven Ares (the first Inazuma Eleven game in many years) has also been delayed.

The game was originally slated for a Fall release in Japan, but CoroCoro reveals that fans will have to wait a little bit longer before their favourite series makes it comeback on consoles. Indeed, Inazuma Eleven Ares will now be released this Winter in Japan.

However, it’s not clear if the game is releasing this year (in December), or in early 2019, since publishers tend to be pretty liberal with their use of “Winter” (which sometimes applies to anytime in December). We will have to wait for more of the magazine to leak, or at the very least the official announcement (on Monday), to know for sure.

Just like Yo-kai Watch 4, the writing was on the wall regarding the delay of Inazuma Eleven Ares. After all, even though the game was slated for a Fall release, Level-5 was still reluctant to announce a release date. This was starting to get rather worrying, considering it’s already October… In the end, Level-5 decided to give the development team more time to finish the game, which is definitely for the best: fans have been waiting for it for quite some time now, and the company definitely wants Inazuma Eleven Ares to live up to their expectations.

Stay tuned for more details, coming within the next few days.
