GigaBash – Ver. 1.35

  • Release date: March 21st 2024 (North America, Europe, Japan)
  • Patch notes:
Onslaught Mode: Mutants
  • Enjoy this whole new experience in Onslaught Mode. Pick up powerful Mutations such as Explosive Punch, Chain Lightning, and more to empower your battle against 30 waves of enemies.
  • Beware, enemies are also more dangerous here, especially the Mutants! These new sub-species of Titans possess permanent mutations such as Frost Aura, Energy-Draining Fields, and more.
  • You asked, we deliver! You’ll finally go against Godzilla and his menacing friends (jk, they hate each other). Can you live up to the challenge?
2 New Maps

As seen in Story Mode, OtomaTEC HQ and Yeti Sanctuary are now playable maps in Battle Mode. But this isn’t just some lazy recycling of content, each map features a unique map mechanic that you’ve never seen before.

  • OtomaTEC HQ
    • Get a taste of OtomaTEC’s latest research into Titan genetics. Pick up powerful mutations to augment your attacks and become absolutely overpowered.
  • Yeti Sanctuary
    • Visit Woolley’s home atop the Himalaya Mountains and juice yourself up with unhealthy amounts of Giga Energy.

GIGA BEAM CLASH!

  • Brace yourselves, our favorite veteran hero is throwing his hat into the ultimate power showdown. That’s right, Gigaman can now Beam Clash with all the DLC characters! Giga…. BEAM!!!
UI Updates
  • Added Animated Emojis
  • Improved Leaderboard for Onslaught Modes
Bug fixes
  • Fixed Beams now showing in Final Victory Screen.
  • Fixed crash if Always SClass is turned on in Research Lab.
  • Fixed crash if Hazard is turned off in Research Lab.
  • Fixed crash if Menu Settings save file unable to load properly.
  • Fixed crash when replay not saving match data in certain scenarios.
  • Fixed a crash when CPU Skorak’s shell gets inhaled by Woolley.
  • Fixed friend invitations in PS4 and PS5.
  • Fixed Xbox Controller pairing bug. Will now prompt user to login if new controller detected.
  • Fixed not able host matches in certain scenarios on Xbox.
  • Fixed crossplay bug, able to join matches from other platforms in certain situations.
  • Fixed a crash in Mayhem Mode, Titans should now always be spawning properly.
  • Fixed Mechajuras Grapple ability not deactivating SuperArmor abilities.
  • Fixed Ultraman Tiga grab special, if victim within Bubble loses one life stock, they no longer get teleported to the center of map.
  • Fixed Alien Baltan air grabs not awarding score points in Arcade Mode.
  • Improved overall joining match flow.
  • Improved crossplay stability.
  • Fixed Titan reverting to normal class when hit by Giga Energy-absorbing abilities when ‘Always S-Class’ is turned on.
Tweaks
  • Onslaught Mode: Balancing tweaks for Classic Onslaught
  • Onslaught Mode: Camera view will not be intercepted when a new SClass enemy spawns if there is an existing enemy.
  • Character Movement System: Added minimum move speed cap of 30% (Movement slows will not go lower than this)

GigaBash – Ver. 1.33

  • Patch notes:
Online Multiplayer
  • Added Room Code to enable cross-platform Private Matches with friends.
  • Added “Keep Searching” function while searching for a match in Online Mode.
  • Host can now add CPUs in Private Matches.
  • Overhauled Ui to combine Free-for-All & Teamplay into Battle Mode. In the Battle Mode lobby, players are set to be in their own team by default to enjoy the usual Free-for-All experience. Players can press L3 to change teams to enjoy the usual Teamplay experience.
  • Added S-Class Duration, Gain Rate & Drain Rate to Match Settings, available for Local & Private Matches only.
Character Updates – Beam Clash
  • Beam Clash can now trigger in mid-air.
Character Updates – Balancing
  • Camearra’s Block Special can no longer infinite combo.
  • Ultraman’s Air Attack’s damage and knockback value tweaked.
  • Camearra’s Block Attack now does multiple instances of damage.
  • Godzilla’s Block Special can now trigger Beam Clash.
Character Updates – Bugfixes
  • Fixed a bug where Ultraman can trap an enemy in the ground in Digsite.
  • General improvements and fixes for Beam Clash.
  • Fixed Gigaman’s Charged Attack unable to register the first hit.
  • Fixed Camearra’s Get up Attack not able to hit enemies.
  • Fixed a crash that occurs when a character with Ultimate is defeated.
  • Fixed a bug where Baltan gets stuck in mid-air when using Special Attack in mid-air.
  • Adjusted Camerra’s Ultimate camera so it would not be blocked by various map elements in the Crystal Cave.
UI
  • Fixed platform UI not showing correctly while playing in Online Mode.
  • Fixed Button prompts blocking the HP bar.
  • Additional notes: Saved Replays in the Replay Feature (Beta) will be voided once the new update is up, so please record them while you can.

Godzilla
  • Fixed the issue when victim of Godzilla’s Air Grab enters an invulnerable state when Godzilla successfully uses Air Grab too close to the floor.
Destoroyah
  • Fixed Destoroyah’s Block Attack in Mayhem Mode: Starfall triggering the game to crash.
Crossplay
  • Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch can now matchmake with each other in Public Matchmaking.

Gameplay

Mayhem Mode

  • Fixed crash in Gun Battle.

Gorogong

  • Fixed Dive Smash causing its victim to shrink down.
  • When normal class Gorogong uses Grab Special against a S class titan, the victim will now enter knock down state to prevent a stun lock situation.

Rohanna

  • When normal class Rohanna uses Grab Special against a S class titan, the victim will now enter knock down state to prevent a stun lock situation.
  • Fixed Ultimate’s Royal Warden trying to jump when it is first spawned.

Godzilla

  • Fixed victim will get knocked down when it is close to the ground and being air grabbed by Godzilla.
  • Fixed Godzilla’s Heavy Special throwing enemies up into the air bug.
  • Fixed Godzilla’s Grab Special overly high damage output.

Destoroyah

  • Fixed its infinite double jump bug.
  • Fixed its Air Grab ability causing its victim to be unable to do anything.

Mechagodzilla

  • Fixed Heavy Special’s damage.
Matchmaking
  • Matchmaking flow refinement.
  • Fixed crash when host leaves Mayhem and Duel online lobby.
Visual
  • A level of visual optimization is applied for Holopolis, Core Chamber and Mount Gorogong.
  • Fixed shine effect not being removed from titans who have died in a match.
UI
  • Overall UI adjustment.
  • New UI appearance for Game Mode selection.
  • New UI appearance for Mayhem Mode game settings.
  • New UI layout for Map selection.
  • The store button will now be disabled after purchasing Godzilla DLC.
  • Updated in-game players’ status and kill feed UI.
  • Added 16:10 aspect ratio support for UI.
  • Added game data saving indicator.
  • Fixed connection error message prompt not being closed properly after the prompt is resolved.
Audio
  • Fixed electric generator SFX not playing when somebody gets attached onto it.
  • Fixed Rawa’s Block Special SFX not being played on time.
  • Fixed Rawa’s Air Attack SFX not being played when it hits the ground.
  • Fixed Thundatross’s Block Special SFX not being played when the blade hits the ground.
  • Refined victim gets hit away SFX timing.
  • Refined Woolley’s Heavy Attack SFX.
  • Added swing SFX for Rohanna’s tree swing.
  • Adjusted menu music.
  • Fixed character selection page not playing sound when it proceeds to level selection page.

How to download updates for GigaBash for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for GigaBash, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
