Fire Emblem Engage – Emblem Introduction: Eirika (Emblem of the Sacred) & Ephraim

Fire Emblem Engage features various characters from past Fire Emblem games, who are called Emblems. They appear in the form of Emblem Rings that units can equip in order to get a stats boost, but also gain access to special skills and abilities. And in this post, we’re going to take a look at Eirika, who is known as the Emblem of the Sacred, and her twin brother Ephraim!

Here’s a video showcasing this Emblem in action:

The video also shows part of a scene with Celine where Eirika pledges to lend her strength to protect peace.

Eirika (voiced by Kaori Mizuhashi in Japanese) is a kind-hearted princess who stands on the battlefield for the sake of peace. Together with her twin brother, Ephraim (voiced by Taku Yashiro in Japanese), she will provide assistance to Alear and the others.

Unlike other Emblems, Eirika can switch with another character: namely, her twin brother Ephraim. Doing so isn’t just for show: it also allows you to switch abilities according to the situation. Eirika possesses both strength and recovery, and truly shines when acting independently.

Her weapon, skills, and abilities are as follows:

  • Sync Skill (Eirika): Moon Bracelet*. The higher the enemy’s defense, the more damage you will deal when attacking them.
  • Sync Skill (Ephraim): Sun Bracelet*. Allows you to recover HP based on the amount of damage dealt to the enemy.
  • Engage Weapon: Rapier. Deals extra damage to Cavalry and Heavy Armour Units.
  • Engage Skill: Twin Saints*. Allows you to activate both Eirika and Ephraim’s Sync Skills at the same time. That way, you can get both the extra damage to enemies with high defense and the recovery effect you get by dealing damage (with the damage boost allowing you to recover even more HP than normal)
  • Engage Attack: Twin Strike*. Allows you to attack with two weapons, the Spear and the Sword, which not only increases your chances of dealing the Break status, but also deals lots of damage to the Corrupted. Power is further increased for Cavalry Units wearing Eirika’s Ring.

* official English name TBC!

Fire Emblem Engage (Switch) comes out on January 20th worldwide.
