Famitsu previews (April 26): Zero Time Dilemma / Etrian Odyssey V

Zero Time Dilemma

This week, Zero Time Dilemma is getting a 4-page article in Famitsu magazine.

This time, there will be some details about one of the central elements of the game: the drug that is automatically injected every 90 minutes, making the characters forget everything at regular intervals. It was designed in such a way that players (just like the characters) have no idea where in the story they are (click here for more details!). There will also be details about an event scene involving Team Q (with Q, Mira, and Eric).

Finally, the magazine will detail the the three main gameplay systems:

  • the Decision Game
  • the Global Flowchart
  • the Floating Fragment System

Here’s the preview from Famitsu magazine:

Talking of the Zero Escape series in general, Gamasutra published a rather lengthy interview of Kotaro Uchikoshi yesterday. It tackles various topics, mostly focusing on Uchikoshi’s “narrative design”. Click here to check it out!

Zero Time Dilemma (3DS) comes out on June 28th in Europe and North America, and June 30th in Japan.

Etrian Odyssey V

On Thursday, Etrian Odyssey V will be featured in Famitsu magazine for the second week in a row, with an 8-page article.

There will be details about 5 more classes (Cestus, Necromancer, Repear, Hound, Shaman), and more. But that’s not all: it looks like Famitsu is going to start a regular feature about the series in general. This time, there will be an interview with Shigeo Komori (Director) and FLIPFLOPs (a manga author, who happens to be a big fan of the series).

Here’s the preview from Famitsu magazine:

Etrian Odyssey V (3DS) comes out on August 4th in Japan.
