A few weeks ago, we learned about a mysterious SteamWorld Bundle, which was recently rated by the USK. And it turns out that this bundle not only exists, it’s also part of something bigger called Nintendo eShop Selects. Basically, those are must-have indie games that Nintendo is going to release at retail.

The first two titles Nintendo picked up for the Nintendo eShop Selects are for the Wii U:

  • FAST Racing Neo
  • SteamWorld Collection (SteamWorld Dig + SteamWorld Heist)

But those retail releases are a bit special: they also include some DLC. In the case of FAST Racing Neo, the DLC is brand new and wasn’t even announced beforehand.

The DLC Pack is called NEO Future Pack, and includes 8 new tracks for you to race on (playable at GamesCom next month), but also 10 new vehicle profiles, and 18 new audio tracks . Naturally, it will be released on the same day (September 30th) for owners of the digital version.

As for the SteamWorld Collection, it will not only include both SteamWorld games on the same disc, it will also feature The Outsider DLC for SteamWorld Heist (new character, new missions, new weapons and gear, and new headwear). The Wii U version of the game will launch on the same day, on September 30th, on the Nintendo eShop. It will be playable at GamesCom next month.

Here’s the boxart for both games, and some screenshots for the FAST Racing Neo DLC:

The first two titles in the Nintendo eShop Selects range will be launched on September 30th in Europe (and October 1st in Australia). Our Upcoming Releases page has been updated!

NB: the Fast Racing Neo DLC and SteamWorld Heist on Wii U should release in North America on the same day as in Europe.
