Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection: Class Introduction videos and music tracks

Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection is a collection of HD remasters of the first three Etrian Odyssey games. It’s launching on June 1st worldwide, and in the weeks leading to that launch, Atlus are planning to share various videos to introduces the classes you can choose for your characters, but also some of the music tracks found in the games.

Class Introduction videos

Etrian Odyssey HD
  • Landsknecht

Favoured weapons: swords and axes. They are masters of close combat. Their place is at the vanguard, and their fighting style is centered around a variety of physical attacks.

  • Survivalist

Favoured weapon: bows. Hunters whose many survival skills allow them to brave the Labyrinth. Not only can they attack from the rear with their bows, they can also boost the speed of allies.

  • Protector

Favoured weapon: Sword and Sield. A holy knight who uses their own body as shield to protect their allies. Unsurprisingly, defense is at the center of their fighting style: they can boost the defense of allies, but also take attacks for them.

  • Dark Hunter

Favoured weapons: sword and whip. They specialise in weakening enemies. The tactics at their disposal vary greatly depending on which weapon they’re equipping.

  • Medic

Their specialty: healing skills! Medics are in charge of healing and recovery, and use various medical arts to restore the strength of injured allies.

  • Alchemist

Their specialty: alchemy. Studying the very laws of the world allowed them to gain the power to manipulate all sort of things. From the rear, they can unleash various elemental attacks using the fire, ice, and lightning elements.

  • Troubadour

They support the party with their music and dances. They focus on support, with their skills used to strengthen allies instead of attacking.

  • Ronin

Favoured weapon: Katana. A warrior who has mastered the sword techniques known as “Do” . They boast the highest attack power among all the attack-focused classes, but their defense really leaves a lot to be desired.

  • Hexer

As their name implies, they specialise in curses. Those magicians use forbidden magic to control the life, death, and very will of enemies with the help of curses. For example, they can inflict various debuffs to weaken enemies.

  • Gunner

Favoured weapon: Guns. They’re musketeers who specialize in elemental attacks, and use firearms to hit enemies from a distance. They stick to the rear row, and can adapt to any situation.

  • War Magus

Favoured weapons: swords and staves. A shaman who can use their powers both to heal allies and destroy enemies. They’re great at support, and offer a wide range of fighting styles.

  • Beast

Favoured weapon: Claws. Loyal beasts that fight using sharp claws and fangs. They use their own body to protect their masters. This class is characterized by its high physical strength. NB: you cannot use the character illustrations for the Beast class with other classes.

  • Landsknecht

Favoured weapon: swords and axes. They specialise in fighting on the front lines using swords and axes. They have quite a lot of endurance, making them reliable allies in battle.

  • Survivalist

Favoured weapon: Bow. They make use of their bow and various tracking techniques to explore the labyrinth. In battle, they excel in support: for example, they can influence the order in which their allies take action.

  • Protector

Favoured weapon: Sword and Shield. Holy knights who use large shields to block enemy attacks. They can make use of a wide variety of defensive skills to protect their allies of both physical and elemental attacks.

  • Dark Hunter

Favoured weapon: Sword and Whip. They specialize in weakening enemies. Their whip attack skills can bind enemies, and hinder their movements/actions.

  • Medic

They specialise in recovery skills. They’re medics who heal and restore the other party members. They can use various skills to recover strength and negative statuses, but also to revive allies who have fallen in battle.

  • Alchemist

Their specialty: alchemy. Studying the very laws of the world allowed them to gain the power to manipulate all sort of things. They can defeat enemies with attacks making use of several elements such as fire, ice, and lightning.

  • Troubadour

Their specialty: musical performances. A bard who inspires the other party members with their music and dances. They have mastered support skills that allows them to strengthen the abilities of their allies in battle.

  • Ronin

Favoured weapon: Katana. A swordsman trained in the foreign sword techniques known as “Do”. This class excels at physical attacks, attribute attacks, and full attribute attacks.

  • Hexer

Special skill: Curses. Those magicians use forbidden magic to control the life, death, and very will of enemies with the help of curses. They have top-tier support abilities, and specialise in skills that can inflict negative statuses, or inflict debuffs on enemies to lower their abilities.

  • Sovereign

Favoured weapon: swords. They can raise the morale of the whole party, and boost their abilities.

  • Gladiator

Favoured weapons: Sword, Hammer. Brave and bold, Gladiators have only one job: defeat enemies. They’re experts when it comes to physical attacks, using gigantic swords and blunt weapons to fight.

  • Hoplite

Favoured weapons: Shield and Spear. Their whole body is covered in thick, metal armour, which grants them formidable defensive power. They can protect their allies with their overwhelming strength and defensive skills.

  • Buccaneer

Favoured weapons: Rapier and Gun. The descendants of pirates who grew up on the seas. They’re attackers who can skillfully handle bothrapiers and guns, and can fight on either the front or back rows.

  • Ninja

Special skill: Bunshin (created a clone, effectively adding an extra party member). Versatile warriors from the shadows who trained in a faraway land.

  • Monk

Special skill: Fist Mastery. Not only can they heal the wounds of their allies, they also specialise in close combat using their fists.

  • Zodiac

Special skill: Astrology. Scientific magicians who manipulate the etheric energy of the stars and use in the form of astrological magic.

  • Wildling

Special skill: Summoning. A master of beasts who can communicate with all sorts of animals. During battle, they can summon various beasts to fight by their side.

  • Arbalist

Favoured weapon: Crossbow. A master of projectiles who carry a crossbow so massive, it’s almost as big as them. They dispatch enemies with intense and unparalleled firepower.

  • Farmer

Special skill: Exploration. Farmers who decided to go explore the Labyrinth in order to strike it rich. They specialise in skills that help navigating the Labyrinth.

  • Shogun

Favoured weapon: Katana. A far eastern general who commands an army of over 10 000 soldiers. Not only can they attack on their own, they also specialise in continuous attacks and simultaneous attacks coordinated with their allies.

  • Yggdroid

Favoured weapon: Dagger. An anti-evil weapon created a long time ago. It’s a hard class to pick up, but if you manage to master it, you will be able to make full use of its powers.
