Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force
A few weeks ago, we learned that Ghostlight was working on some projects for the Nintendo Switch. And today, it was announced that the first one was none other than a port of Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force. It will be released this Fall in Europe and North America.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will cost 34.99€ / £29.99 / $39.99, and will include all 25 pieces of DLC released for the PlayStation 4 version. It also comes with all the changes and improvements made for the PC and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, including the ability to have up to 6 characters on the battlefield at a time, and three new difficulty settings (Easy, Normal, and Hard).
Here’s more details about the game:
Long ago, a dreadful war was fought between the Goddess and the Vile God. Both created a vast number of special weapons imbued with their godly energy, each containing the life force of a fairy. Armed with these weapons, the deities continued their conflict until they finally sealed each other away into the great unknown. A long time has passed since this ancient conflict, and the weapons created by the Goddess and the Vile God have since been scattered across the world. These weapons—now known as “Furies”—are highly sought after by warriors who call themselves “Fencers”. It is said that whoever collects a Fury will be granted one wish. When a young man named Fang decides to rashly pull a Fury from a stone, he inadvertently becomes a Fencer himself, forever altering the course of his destiny.
Continue your adventure through three new story paths: The Goddess story, the Vile God story, and the Evil Goddess story. Play as Fang and his gang as you face off against a new, evil organization, meet new fairies and fencers, and collect the furies scattered across the world. Each path leads to a different outcome, so choose wisely.
- In the three stories to play, friends become foes, foes become friends, and, based on your choices, multiple endings can be unlocked!
- Customize weapons by fusing them with fairies and change dungeons stats through World-Shaping. Even transform with the “Fairize” skill and become stronger in battle!
- With up to six party members on the battlefield at a time, you can play as all your favorite Fencers!
- From Amateur to Hell, choose the difficulty level that suits your style!

The Midnight Sanctuary
Earlier this week, UNTIES confirmed that The Midnight Sanctuary will be releaserd on October 4th worldwide. The game will cost 9.99€ / $9.99, and will offer English text, with Japanese voices and text.
Here’s a trailer and some details:
The people of Daiusu, a long-isolated Japanese village, revere a mystic woman known as “The Saint.” Once persecuted for their religious beliefs but wishing to become a modern tourist destination, locals have built a grand cathedral in her honor and to attract visitors.
Famous historian Hamomuro Tachibana, voiced by popular Japanese actressYū Shimamura (Final Fantasy XV, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Attack on Titan) is invited to Daiusu to catalog its past and familiarize locals with the outside world.
But not all is as it seems. Quickly into her journey Tachibana witnesses residents appearing and disappearing, leaping off cliffs, and twisting themselves in half. Are these people dead… or not quite? Has “The Saint” returned to the mountain village? If so, does she bring salvation or herald the end?
The Midnight Sanctuary blurs the line between reality and surreal both in storytelling and visual style. Blending static 2D textures and moving 3D models creates a striking visual effect, further enhanced in VR. The Midnight Sanctuary’s graphics, which incorporate a stained glass-style to create a beautiful aesthetic, provides an eerie background for the alarming events Tachibana encounters.
The Midnight Sanctuary (Switch – eShop) comes out on October 4th worldwide.
