Ary and the Secret of Seasons

Modus Games and iXiin have announced that Ary and the Secret of Seasons has been delayed once more, this time to Summer 2020.

Here’s the latest trailer and some more details about the game:

A new trailer accompanied today’s announcement, demonstrating protagonist Aryelle’s incredible ability to influence her surroundings by conjuring miniature seasonal biomes of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. This skill proves invaluable in her quest, allowing her to uncover secrets, slip aside once-impassable obstacles, and gain crucial advantages in battle.

In Ary and the Secret of Seasons, Ary accepts a calling her father is unable to answer, embarking in his place to resolve a sudden disparity between the once perfectly balanced seasons within the land of Valdi. Creating chasm-clearing platforms and aiding Valdi’s exasperated citizens is just the beginning for the potential carried in Ary’s power, which supports a sense of limitless discovery throughout the heroine’s engrossing story.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons (Switch – eShop) comes out this Summer in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!

Golf with Your Friends

Team17 have announced yet another game for the Nintendo Switch: Golf with Your Friends. It’s a multiplayer-focused golf game developed by Blacklight Interactive, releasing later this year in Europe and North America.

Here’s a trailer, some details, the list of key features, and some screenshots for the game:

It’s time for some genial group golfing. With 12-player online multiplayer, golf has never been this social from the comfort of your own home! More than 10 levels await, shoot for the pars in tranquil forests, haunted houses, and even venture into space to hit the perfect swing.

  • Friendly competition: Players can ‘putt’ their skills to the test against 11 people in online multiplayer.
  • Golf, with a view: Normal golf greens are so last year, Golf With Your Friends offers more than 10 unique courses, each with their own theme and location.
  • Super-powered golf: Players can hinder their friends progress with powerups available in custom game modes. Throw down honey, turn their ball into a square, or freeze them on the spot to take the lead and drive a wedge between friends.
  • Multiple game modes: Sometimes golf is just golf, and sometimes it’s golf with a basketball hoop or a hockey goal – both game modes are available alongside the classic mini golf mode.
  • Fabulous golf: Rock the fairway in style, with unlockable skins, hats and trails for the golf balls.

Golf with Your Friends (Switch – eShop) comes out later this year in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!

Rigid Force Redux

Here’s some more details for Rigid Force Redux, along with some screenshots:

Developed by com8com1 — a studio led by Marcel Rebenstorf, who previously worked at Ubisoft Blue Byte on titles such as ANNO and Might and Magic Heroes Online — the game has players piloting their spacecraft against an onslaught of aliens, powering up via special Energy Orbs and Force Shards which offer special offensive and defensive abilities. Rigid Force Redux will breathe new life into the classic side-scrolling shooter genre with its lovingly hand-crafted 3D models, stunning environments, detailed effects, and an electrifying Synthwave soundtrack.

Influenced by old-school shmups like R-Type, Einhander, and Gradius, Rigid Force Redux will have players piloting a fighter that’s positively armed to the teeth with numerous upgradeable weapon systems and supplemental Force Shards! These adjustable Force Shards allow you to shoot in multiple directions, and block incoming enemy fire, while Energy Orbs appear and need to be captured in order to boost the ship’s power supply and eventually unleash an extremely powerful blast against the enemy horde. All that doesn’t only look great, but also makes you feel really powerful.

Battle it out against huge swarms of enemies, gunships, laser wielding mechs, and giant alien creatures. Every enemy has its own unique and challenging strategy, from the tiniest creature up to the largest boss. And there’s an awesome variety of those bosses — from menacing intergalactic beasts to heavily armed Mechanoids, there’s a slew of unique super-sized opponents. Take out a rampaging Defense Satellite, assault a mutated cave-dwelling plant monster, and survive a nerve-wracking chase against the deadly Blade Guardship (to name just a few) on your mission to save the galaxy.

If that’s not enough, the game also includes special Arcade and Boss Rush Modes, global leaderboards and 40 achievements. Rigid Force Redux packs all the fun and features needed for endless hours of battling and blasting fun!

Rigid Force Redux (Switch – eShop) comes out this Spring in Europe and North America.
