A few days ago, we learned that Runbow was coming at retail, and on both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. But 13AM Games quickly clarified things a bit, explaining that the listings contained incorrect information. Yesterday, during the Nindies segment on YouTube Live at E3 2016, we finally got the first official details.
Two “games’ were announced:
- Runbow Deluxe (Wii U): game + DLC + soundtrack
- Runbow Pocket Deluxe (New Nintendo 3DS): game + DLC + 4 exclusive Nintendo 3DS Themes. This version will also feature StreetPass cards, that you can collect, create, and share with friends and other people. The data shared include your best run at Bowhemoth, your favorite character, and more.
What’s more, it was announced that Shantae would soon be added as a free DLC character.
Both Wii U and New Nintendo 3DS versions of the game will be released this Fall in North America. It’s not currently clear whether Europe will also get a retail release or not, and we will have to wait a bit longer before getting more details.
In the mean time, here’s a trailer:
