Dragon Quest VIII: trailer for the story

Earlier this month, Nintendo announced that Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, the Nintendo 3DS version of the PS2 classic, would be released on January 20th. It was originally supposed to launch this year, but at the very least, fans will not have to wait too long before being able to play it.

And today, Nintendo uploaded a second trailer in English for the game. This one focuses on the story, which starts with Dhoulmagus (the court jester) stealing an ancient scepter, and then casting a curse on the Royal Family and all the persons present in the castle… with one exception: the protagonist!

The trailer introduces the main characters of the game, complete with voice acting:

• The Hero – The One
• Yangus – The Bandit
• King Trode – The Monarch
• Jessica – The Mage
• Angelo – The Knight

Here’s the second English trailer for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King on Nintendo 3DS:

We can assume that subsequent trailer will focus on the exclusive features and content of the Nintendo 3DS (such as the extra dungeon and playable characters).
