Dragon Quest VIII: latest batch of screenshots preview the post-game dungeon

With exactly one week to go until release in Japan (on August 27th), Square-Enix has revealed yet another batch of screenshots for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King on Nintendo 3DS.

As mentionned several times in the past few weeks, this version of the game will feature quite a bit of extra content, found during the adventure and after the credits. And today, Square-Enix gives us a preview of some of that post-game content, such as the brand new dungeon.

This dungeon looks like some ancient ruins, in which the party finds a sealed door: a very evil presence seems to be hidden behind it. Inside, the characters will comes across some strange Purple Chests, which are said to have really valuable contents. The screenshots below also showcase the new scenarios found after the ending, described as really surprising by Square-Enix.
