Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past video series – Discover Tablets

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is the Nintendo 3DS remake of the PS1 classic. Released back in 2013 in Japan, it’s finally available in Europe and North America.

On Monday, Nintendo of America uploaded the 8th episode of their video series for Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. This one is all about Tablets, which are one of the central elements of the game. They are scattered across land and sea, and finding them is something you will have to do very often during your adventure.

There’s several types of the tablets, and the first one can only be found using the Fragment Detector. Once you have found enough of them, you can combine them like puzzle pieces in the Assembly Room of the Shrine of Mysteries. In doing so, you will be transported to an island in the distant past, where you will be able to witness the very events that shaped the world.

The second type: the mysterious fragments. You place them on the pedestals found in the lower floors of the Shrine of Mysteries. What do they unlock? You will have to find out by yourself, after beating the main adventure!

The third and final type of tablets is the Traveller’s Tablets. You get them from the Monster Meadows, the Haven, via StreetPass, or via the internet at the Download Bar. When you complete them, you get access to hundred of randomly generated dungeons.
