Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 will let you change the colour of monsters, more

Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3Even though Square-Enix’s press conference for the 30th Anniversary didn’t allow us to learn anything really new, we can always count on Jump magazine for new details about Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3. In the next issue, it will reveal a pretty neat feature, which allows you to add a lot of colour to the game.

Basically, Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 lets you change the colour of your monsters. That way, you can have a cute rainbow of multicoloured Slimes, if you want. In order to do so, you first need to get a special monster, called Colour Fondue (a variant of the monster Fondue, who seems rather fond of painting).

But such customisation is not just for your monsters: it also works for the main character. You can change the colour of his hair, his scarf, and various other elements. Unlike monster customisation, the player is totally free to customise the protagonist at will.

Next, we have details about several characters:

  • an old lady, who looks after you;
  • a mysterious girl (we do not know her name), who invites you on an adventure;
  • the Nochoora King, who supports your on your quest;
  • Dark Master, a Monster Master, and the protagonist’s rival.

For some reason, some of these characters seem to know the protagonist from the past (he suffers from amnesia). It’s quite likely they will be key in his getting back his memories.

Here’s the scan from Jump magazine:
