Disney Illusion Island – Ver. ??? (Mystery in Monoth Update)

NEW CONTENT
  • New Game Mode – Mystery In Monoth: Curious clues are popping up across Monoth, and Dash Dolphin needs the help of the Fab Four to find them. Locate the clues, close the cases and solve this, brand-new, mystery of Monoth.
  • New Tokuns – Delve deeper into the past of Dash Dolphin with new Tokuns added to the game.
  • New accomplishments – New accomplishments tied to the mystery.
  • Gallery Unlocks – New gallery unlocks for completing cases and solving mysteries.
ACCESSIBILITY UPDATES
  • Chaser difficulty adjustment – The Chaser section of the game is now affected by the “Timed Element Speed” setting in the options screen.
  • Turn Off Player Trails – Players can now turn off the player trail VFX that follows player movement.
QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS
  • Map Improvements – Updated filter options. You can now hide more icons on the map.
  • Mavens of Monoth Improvements – A new medal icon on the map to show the player when they’ve achieved a hidden developer time in a Mavens of Monoth course. The highest medal a player has earned in a Mavens of Monoth course is now displayed on the course icon on the map.
GENERAL FIXES AND OPTIMISATIONS
  • Improved optimization across the entire game.
  • Improved loading times.
  • Adjustments to sections of the game that prevent the Mavens of Monoth intro cutscene from playing.
  • Optimised code for the air stream hazard pooling.
  • Improved optimization for UI elements across the entire game.
  • Addressed various overdraw issues to improve map responsiveness.
  • Various spelling and grammar fixes for Tokun descriptions.
  • Adjusted loading screen ordering for Mavens of Monoth courses to prevent unnecessary character pop in.
  • Adjusted issues with interacting with a Maven to prevent character orientation issues.
  • Maven icon filter checkmark is now manually activated when talking to a Maven in world.
  • Key UI is now hidden when playing a Mavens of Monoth course.
  • Sad cheer audio now plays correctly when needed at the end of a Mavens of Monoth course.

Disney Illusion Island – Ver. 1.1.0 (Keeper Up Update)

NEW CONTENT

  • New Game Mode – Mavens of Monoth Time Trials: 12 brand-new obstacle course time trials have been added to the world of Monoth. Each course tracks your best time and awards medals based on performance.
  • New Tokuns – To celebrate the arrival of the Mavens of Monoth there are 12 new tokuns added to the game. Each course, upon completion, will award a Tokun to the player. 
  • New Accomplishments – New accomplishments tied to Mavens of Monoth Time Trials added. 
  • New Gallery Unlocks – New gallery unlocks for achieving milestone performances in new Mavens of Monoth Time Trials, new unlock to celebrate those players who complete/have completed the story on Iron Mouse mode and scrapbook is now viewable in Gallery after 100% completion.
  • News Window – Added news window to main menu for highlighting updates.

ACCESSIBILITY UPDATES

  • Subtitles on by Default – Subtitles are now switched on by default for new players.
  • Instant Run – Added new instant run option to menu to allow players to always run however much input is pushed.

QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS

  • Respawn Envelope – The respawn envelope moves faster and has a quicker respawn in the Mavens of Monoth Time Trials game mode.
  • Map Filter – Map filter will now remember player filter choices within a play session.
  • Scrolling Map – Map is now scrollable using a d-pad.
  • Map Interaction Now easier to highlight interactive map elements such as checkpoints.
  • Notification Clearing – Side notification will now be cleared when opening pause menu from a notification.
  • Notification Alert – Tabs with unseen new items now have new item marker.
  • Persistent Notifications – Unseen new items will remain marked after game restart.

GENERAL FIXES AND OPTIMISATIONS

  • Fixed issue with Engineering Boss idle not appearing at full resolution.
  • Fixed character facing directions after meeting Map Giver in Servo’s Swing Spot.
  • Fixed animation flicker in Astrono Boss fight.
  • Fixed issue in The Sky Below where two of the health pods could spawn health over themselves.
  • Fixed in-game cutscene after Cutscene 03 so that characters no longer can be seen dropping in.
  • Fixed issue in multiplayer where characters could spawn with empty health bar after using fast-travel and teleporters.
  • Fixed issue with Schube’s projectile lifetime.
  • Fixed issue with Clock Cleaners memorabilia showing wrong image.
  • Fixed loading icon position anchoring.
  • Fixed issue with audio for smuggler’s banging on gate at top of Forgotten Farmlands.
  • Fixed issue with hazard transitions in AS Boss fight.
  • Fixed issue with skipping end credits.
  • Fixed localization issues with subtitles for cutscenes in Japanese.
  • General localization fixes across the game.
  • Fixed the dialogue bubble in the Terrarium Town non critical unification dialogue sequence.

How to download updates for Disney Illusion Island for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Disney Illusion Island, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
