Märchen Forest (Switch) comes out on January 28th worldwide.

John Wick Hex

Good Shepherd Entertainment have announced that they are bringing John Wick Hex (developed by Mike Bithell) to the Nintendo Switch. It will be released on December 4th in Europe and North America.

Here’s a trailer and some details:

John Wick Hex is the first John Wick console game inspired by Lionsgate’s hit action franchise. From acclaimed Game Director, Mike Bithell (Volume, Thomas Was Alone, Subsurface Circular), John Wick Hex is a fast-paced, action-oriented strategy game that makes you think and strike like the professional hitman.

Created in close cooperation with the creative teams behind the films, John Wick Hex is fight-choreographed chess brought to life as a video game, capturing the series’ signature gun fu style while expanding its story universe. Players must choose every action and attack they make, while considering their immediate cost and consequences. Every move in John Wick Hex feels like a scene from the movies, and every fight contributes to your progress on the job and requires precise strategic thinking.

Perform well and progress in the main story mode (which features an original story created for the game) to unlock new weapons, suit options and locations. Each weapon changes up the tactics you’ll use and the manner in which you’ll play. Ammo is finite and realistically simulated, so time your reloads and make the most of weapons you scavenge on the job.

John Wick Hex complements the style of the films with a unique graphic noir art design and features the world class voice talents of Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Troy Baker amongst its stellar cast.

John Wick Hex (Switch – eShop) comes out on December 4th in Europe and North America.

Curved Space

Only By Midnight have announced that Curved Space has been delayed to Early 2021 (it was originally slated for a 2020 release).

Here’s some more details and screenshots for the game:

Featuring a replayable and branching Story Mode (where player choices can have strange and far-reaching effects), and an endlessly escalating Arcade Mode for high-score chasing pros, Curved Space pays tribute to twin-stick and arena shooter classics while blazing its own trail. Set across a series of stations, asteroids and floating space constructs, players control a high-powered gunship turned energy-mining craft, simultaneously battling and leeching power from extra-dimensional alien spiders in order to power the future civilization.

Curved Space takes the classic twin-stick shooter formula and plunges it into the weirdest reaches of space. Battle giant enemy spiders across curved landscapes where your bullets hug the terrain while the horizon drops sharply out of sight.

Inspired by arcade classics, players will have to hunt for weapon power-ups and upgrades while dodging enemy fire, blasting interdimensional bugs and wrangling some enormous boss monsters. Simple to learn as you fight your way through the branching story-driven campaign, but tough to master as you chase high scores in Survival mode.

Curved Space (Switch – eShop) comes out in Early 2021 in Europe and North America.
