Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD

SEGA have announced that Sonic will appear as a guest character (that you first need to unlock) in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD. He comes with some special effects, such as increased speeds and bananas being replaces by rings (complete with retro sound effects!). But he’s not the only unlockable found in the game: there’s also various costumes for all the monkeys in the base cast!

Sonic the Hedgehog is available as a hidden, unlockable character in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD. Playing as the world’s fastest hedgehog comes with some unique effects. In addition to boasting incredible speed (obviously), selecting Sonic automatically changes all stages’ bananas to golden rings, complete with nostalgic, classic SFX!

Sonic isn’t the only hidden secret available in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD; skilled simian sphere-rollers will unlock a selection of costumes for every monkey in the base cast – just in time for Halloween!

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD (Switch) comes out on October 29th in Europe and North America, and October 31st in Japan.
