NPB eSports Series Splatoon 2 2020
The Covid-19 pandemic is sadly still going strong, causing more and more events to be postponed or canceled altogether. The latest one to be impacted is the NPB eSports Series Splatoon 2 2020: the NPB (the Japanese equivalent of the MLB) have announced that the series has been canceled altogether.
They did consider changing the format or postponing it, but eventually decided to cancel it due to how difficult it would be to organise the various events when nobody knows when the pandemic will be over. After all, the series consists of real life events (not online tournaments), and it takes time to organise them, and the NPB organisers were not confident they would be able to do so in time for them to take place in optimal conditions.
