Famitsu details
This week, Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken is featured in Famitsu magazine, which reveals some details about Episode 4. As mentionned on Tuesday, the title of this episode, “The Adventure of the Foggy Night and I”, is a direct reference to a novel written by Natsume Souseki… who is actually your client in this case!
In this episode, Naruhodou Ryuunosuke (who now has completed one trial in England) is once again asked by Justice Vortex to stand in court. The defendant is one Natsume Souseki, a young transfer who is living alone with his cat (which is named Wagahai, a reference to a novel written by Natsume Souseki).
As you can imagine, this case proves to be impossible at first glance: Natsume Souseki is accused of murder, and he admitted he was alone with the victim at the scene… worse, he even ended up running away. Of course, Naruhodou Ryuunosuke (and his assistant, Mikotoba Susato) accepts to take on this case nonetheless, and begins by interviewing some people on the street near the murder scene.
It’s there that they end up meeting a gentleman called John Garrideb (a reference to “The Adventure of the Three Garridebs”, a Sherlock Holmes story). Naruhodou Ryuunosuke also runs into Iris Watson, who then decides to show off her skills of deduction. Finally, Famitsu magazine allows us to get a look at a man who seems to be from the police: he actually appears on the boxart, just below Vortex (which means he’s an important character).
