Dai Gyakuten Saiban: character video #2 (Mikotoba Susato), more tweets from Shu Takumi
Today, Shu Takumi posted several messages on Twitter, in order to talk about the upcoming release of Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhdou Ryuunosuke no Bouken in Japan. During the past few months, he had hoped to relax a bit, but this wasn’t really possible due to a high amount of work.
The team had to do various things, such as shooting videos (like the one below, introducing Mikotoba Susato), writing scenarios, promoting the game at various events, etc.. By time something he’s worked on goes public… Shu Takumi is already working on something else! Even though he’s the one coming up with (some) of it, he finds himself rather overwhelmed by all the info for Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken.
Next, he reminds people that the demo version is available right now on the Japanese Nintendo eShop (he wasn’t quite sure whether he had already mentionned that on Twitter… in fact, he did so last week!). Capcom also added some character videos on the official website (including one for Mikotoba Susato, that you will find below!).
The video for Naruhodou Ryuunosuke was revealed last week, and Shu Takumi mentions that the “information society” sure moves fast. That being said, he does recommend players to just go and play the game on Day 1, while ignoring everything else around them.
Shu Takumi also mentions a special offer on e-Capcom: if enough people order it, they will make a replica of Auchi Taketsuchi’s fan!
Then, he explains how this character (which is Winston Payne’s ancestor) came to be (abridged version):
– Shu Takumi: “I want Winston Payne’s ancestor”.
– Kazuya Nuri (chara-designer): “Let’s give him chonmage cut and a haori coat”.
– Shu Takumi: “What about a kamishimo?”
– Kazuya Nuri: “I’ll make a sketch”.
The next day…
– Kazuya Nuri: “Came up with this”
– Shu Takumi: “Oh, ok”.The End.
Tomorrow, Shu Takumi will be in Tokyo, for the final check of “The Grand London Courtroom Murder Case” (a real-life escape game which starts on June 26th). The following day, he will meet with a mystery author that Shu Takumi has always seen as a “big presence”. Due to his promotion work, he got to many people, and he’s really grateful for that.
Finally, he says that he really should check out when all those projects he’s been working on finally go live… which probably won’t be easy, with how busy Shu Takumi always is!
