Chicken Wiggle to be released on August 17th

Chicken Wiggle is the latest game from Jools Watsham at Atooi, known for Mutant Mudds, Xeodrifter, the upcoming Treasurenauts, and more. It was announced quite a while ago (back in 2006, actually), but development is finally 100% completed, and the game ready to be released.

Yesterday, it was announced that Chicken Wiggle would be released on August 17th on the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo 3DS. And no delay for Europe or North America: both regions get it on the exact same day! The game will cost $14.99 / 14.99€.

If you’ve never heard of Chicken Wiggle before, you can go check out this post for more details, or read the following:

The stars of Chicken Wiggle are an improbable duo: a young chicken and his new best buddy – a wiggly worm – nestled in his backpack! Together, they team up for adventure to jump, peck, and worm-grapple across a myriad of perplexing platforming levels – full of fun gadgets, tricky hazards, and sneaky foes – determined to rescue their friends from the wicked witch in her sky towers.

Besides all the levels from the 8 worlds, Chicken Wiggle also offers a level editor where you can design your very own levels. This editor is said to be pretty user-friendly, and it’s actually the very same tool that Jools Watsham used to build the various levels from the main mode. It even lets you choose different gameplay rules and art themes, and provides custom hints, tips, and search tags.

Chicken Wiggle levels are shared via the community portal, where you can find tons of additional levels to download, play, and rate… for free, obviously. There’s three main categories: Official Atooi, Popular, and Latest. You can also use search tags, or enter a level ID, to find what you’re looking for.
