Today, Media Create released its weekly report for video game sales in Japan, providing us with more sales data for Week 2, 2016. During Week 2, a total of 483 000 games were sold in Japan, which is only 82.83% of last Week 1 sales.
It looks like the first set of new releases in three weeks didn’t really help offset the (usual) drop in sales in early January. What’s more, sales during Week 1 were considerably down compared to Week 53 (61.72% of Week 53 sales), which makes the drop for Week 2 even worse.
