BAKERU drums its way to Europe and North America next month
Released in Japan as Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru ~Oracle Matsuri Tarou no Matsuri Nan!!~, BAKERU is an action-adventure game developed by Good-Feel heavily inspired by Konami’s Mystical Goemon series.
And thanks to a listing on the Nintendo eShop, we now know that it will launch in Europe and North America just next month, on September 3rd! It’s already available for digital pre-purchase with a 10% off discount (regular price: 39.99€ / $39.99). Unfortunately, it does not look like the game will get a retail/physical release (though it’s possible a limited release may follow at a later date).
As of writing, Spike-Chunsoft (who will publish the game outside Japan) is yet to make an official announcement about that release. The official website isn’t live yet, which indicates the Nintendo eShop page might have gone up earlier than intended. Therefore, it’s no surprise there’s no English trailer of the game available just yet.
Following the stealth announcement via the Nintendo eShop, Spike-Chunsoft (who will publish the game outside Japan) finally made an official announcement yesterday (August 13th), and subsequently opened the official website (make sure to check it out for additional details about the game!).

If you’re curious about the game and want to try it out for yourself, you’re in luck: the demo version is now available in Europe and North America (it was already available in Japan).
This western release of BAKERU will feature some extras (that will no doubt be patched into the Japanese release eventually):
