Azure Striker Gunvolt 2: release date and dual pack at retail in Japan [Up: update for EU/NA]

Following the announcements for Japan, yesterday, Inti Creates gave an update on the European and North American release of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2. Unfortunately, they don’t have a release date just yet, and they don’t know if there will be retail release or not. If they have an announcement to make, they will make it as soon as possible.
They explain that as a Japanese company, they need a partner for a retail release of Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 outside Japan. Right now, they’re working on securing one, but nothing is guaranteed just yet. Fingers crossed!

Today, Inti Creates made two major announcements for Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 in Japan. The first one is the release date: the game will be released on August 25th (pretty much two years after the original, which came out on August 20th, 2014). We don’t know when Europe and North America will get it, but during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation (in March), it was explained that it would also be released in those two regions in Summer.
The second announcement is going to please fans who have been requesting a physical copy of both games: the Striker Pack. It will be released at retail in Japan, and will include:
- a physical copy of Azure Striker Gunvolt
- a physical copy of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2
- Drama CD (Limited Edition)
- Nintendo 3DS Theme (early purchase bonus)
- and more…
Since the story of the two games is connected, this dual pack is also a great deal for players who never played the original. Unfortunately, we don’t know if Europe and/or North America will also get this physical release. No doubt we will hear more about that when Inti Creates is ready to announce the release date for those two regions.
