Attack on Titan 2: a few more details and pictures

Last month, Koei-Tecmo announced they were working on a sequel to their Attack on Titan game (called A.O.T. in Europe, due to licencing issues), but could not confirm whether or not it would also come to the Nintendo Switch (and other platforms). But this week-end, the company revealed that Attack on Titan 2 was indeed coming to the Nintendo Switch.

And today, Koei-Tecmo confirmed that Attack on Titan 2 would be released in Europe and North America, though that confirmation really is nothing but a formality.

The press release does share a few details about the game, which introduces newly improved omni-directional mobility grear, said to offer “advanced freedom of movement and targeting precision”. Titans have also been powered up, with “enhanced” movements, and are now said to behave more like their manga/anime counterpart. They are now deadlier, and pose an even greater threat than ever before.

Attack on Titan 2 also features a “Titan-sized roster”, that went from 10 in the first game to… a lot in this sequel (the exact number of playable characters is yet to be revealed). Thanks to more advanced RPG elements, you will be able to deepen your relationships with the other characters, but also gain great insight into life within the walls.

Story-wise, Attack on Titan 2 covers the same events as the second season of the anime series. But besides that, the game also features original series created by Hajime Isayama, the creator of the Attack on Titan series.

Finally, here’s a few pictures for the game:

Attack on Titan 2 (Switch) comes out in Early 2018 worldwide.
