Arcade Archives Mazinger Z releasing this week on Nintendo Switch

Hamster has confirmed that the latest Arcade Archives release on Nintendo Switch is Mazinger Z. It’s a vertical shoot ’em up based on the popular Mazinger Z manga/anime series, and originally developed and released on Arcade by Banpresto back in 1994 in Japan.

On Nintendo Switch, it will launch on May 11th, and it will cost 14.99€ / £13.49 / $14.99 / 1 500 Yen (significantly more expensive than the usual Arcade Archives releases, Mazinger Z licence oblige). The Japanese version will offer an English language option.

“MAZINGER Z” is a shooter released by BANPRESTO (Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.) in 1994. Take control of Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and Grendizer, and use shooting, punches, and super weapons to take on Dr. Hell’s Underground Empire! Supports up to two players at once.
