amiibo: Japan getting new shipments for several characters in May

Since launch, fans all around the world have had troubles finding their favorite character’s amiibo in stores (even though the situation is slightly better in Europe / Japan compared to North America), but it seems things are about to improve slightly, at least in Japan. Nintendo has just announced that several amiibo would get new shipments from mid-May in that country:

– Villager
– Little Mac
– Captain Falcon

Nintendo also explains that amiibo production can be a rather complex process, and some figures are even done by hand: that’s the reason why it usually takes several months for figures to reach stores after production has started. The company then thanks fans for their patience, and reiterates that new shipment for amiibo will depend on users and retailers demand.
