Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice out in Sept. in the West (eShop), trailer and screens

Ace Attorney 6While we’re waiting for the new details from Famitsu magazine to drop, Capcom has finally made the announcement fans of the series were waiting for a few minutes ago. The company announced that the latest entry in the Ace Attorney series would be released in September in Europe and North America.

In English, the game will be known as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. Just like its predecessor, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, it will be a Nintendo eShop-only release in Europe and North America. It will cost $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99.

Here’s the very first English trailer for the game (it’s the English version of the first Japanese trailer):

The press release and the trailer allow us to get some English names. We learn that the game takes place in the Kingdom of Khura’in, origin of the Kurain Channeling Technique. The trials in that country are called “séance trials”, in reference to the Divination Séance gameplay mechanic (previously known as Medium Vision).

That mechanic involves paying pretty close attention to the Royal Priestess’s Insight (Rayfa Padma Khura’in), in order to find and point out discrepancies and contradictions. The press release mentions Apollo Justice, who is taking on a case that will have “explosive implications”.

Some English names:

  • Rayfa Padma Khura’in
  • Ahibi Ur’gaid (Bokuto in Japanese)
  • Kingom of Khurai’n
