Ace Attorney 6: scene-making contest launched in Japan, special watch to win

Gyakuten Saiban 6Today, Capcom launched a pretty neat contest for Ace Attorney 6 in Japan, using a scene editor tool that Capcom discontinued a couple of years ago. The goal is pretty simple: using the tool, you have to create a court scene using a selection of characters from the first three Ace Attorney games, complete with music, sound effects, and more.

Unfortunately, the tool is pretty limited, so you cannot have things such as cross-examination or anything. Also, you can only use a selection of characters from the original games.

There’s 3 categories/themes, and fans can submit an entry in each one:

  • Ace Attorney 6
  • Childhood friends (a scene with Phoenix Wright, Larry Butz, and Miles Edgeworth)
  • Free (you can chose whatever theme you want)

The winners will get a an Ace Attorney watch (see the picture below!). Fans can submit entries until May 25th (1PM JST), and the winners will be announced on June 1st on the official website. If you want to try out the scene editor, click here! Obviously, it’s entirely in Japanese, but as long as you understand how to use it, you should be to input English text without any problem (obviously, the Japanese voice clips will be used).

Here’s pictures of the scene editor and the watch:

Ace Attorney 6 (3DS) comes out on June 9th in Japan. A European and North American release has already been confirmed.
