***As announced a few days ago, Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 was playable this week-end during the Jump Festa 2016. And as we suspected, Square-Enix did reveal the very first trailer during the event. To be more precise, it was shown during a livestream earlier today. Unfortunately, no official upload is available at the moment, but we do have a recording!

But as the title of this post implies, this trailer is 100% CG, and there isn’t a single second of actual gameplay in there. It does introduce the Reactor: the strange device the protagonist is wearing on his head. It allows him to get details about monsters encountered in the wild, but also find various secrets in the overworld. Finally, the trailer does show the protagonist scouting a monster, though obviously, it doesn’t happen quite like that in-game.

Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 (3DS) comes out on March 24th in Japan.
