New Features

• Limited-time event “Ghouligan’s Pranks Underway!” starts
[Period] August 13, 2026, 12:00 AM PDT – August 30, 2026, 8:00 AM PDT
The “Ghouligan’s Pranks” event will occur in Quick Match during this period.
*Exclusively for 4-player matches.
Enjoy a unique gameplay experience, which is different from the usual matches!

Game Balance Adjustments

• Collision Detection Adjustments
On the “Shadow Alley”, “Twilight Shadow Alley” and “Midnight Shadow Alley” maps, Monsters with the “Move through Walls” ability can now climb utility poles.

Bug Fixes

• Matching Display Issues:
Fixed a bug where the game might proceed without correctly displaying the matched players upon successful matchmaking.

• Moving Vehicle Issues:
Fixed a bug on the “Twilight Shadow Alley” map where the windows of moving cars would not glow when a Human approached.

• Minor Bug Fixes:
Fixed several minor bugs.

To download the updates for OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
