Chillin’ by the Fire – Ver. 1.3.0

  • Patch notes:

New Features

  • Added a display that shows where firewood will land
  • Added option to display a grid on the fire pit
  • Added a best time display on the menu screen
  • Added the ability to cancel fast-forward in survival mode

Adjustments

  • Firewood will now appear more easily than before
  • Slightly increased the surface area of the “Normal,” “Thick,” and “Very Thick firewood sizes.
    • As a result, these pieces of wood will heat up a bit more easily, but also require slightly more oxygen.
  • Adjusted the behavior of burning logs with low oxygen content to reduce extreme fluctuations in the campfire level that occurred during considerable oxygen shortages.
  • Adjusted behavior when the right stick is slightly tilted, making fine camera control easier
  • Changed the order of stages so they are grouped by location

  • Added option to toggle the display of the firewood landing point
  • Added option to display a grid on the fire pit
  • Added option to increase the camera speed even more

How to download updates for Chillin’ by the Fire on Nintendo Switch 2?

To download the updates for Chillin’ by the Fire, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
