Yo-kai Watch: gameplay trailer

Yo-kai WatchYesterday evening, Nintendo of America uploaded a brand new trailer for Yo-kai Watch, showcasing its gameplay. If you’ve never heard of the game before, and/or if you didn’t watch the Nintendo Treehouse Live presentations at E3, then this trailer is perfect for you to get up to speed about what Yo-kai Watch is all about.

The trailer starts by showing two characters, who seem to have a problem: a store clerk just keeps having to go to the bathroom all day long, and a caregiver seems to have caught a cold… Obviously, this is all the work of mischievious Yo-kai, and it’s your job to find them all (over 200 of them) and help the inhabitants of Springdale.

The trailer also shows how battles work. First, you start by sending a team of 6 Yo-kai, and you use the wheel on the bottom screen to choose who’s attacking. You can launch powerful special attacks (called Soultimate Moves) by drawing some shapes on the touch screen: those are pretty useful when you’re dealing with Yo-kai bosses!

Here’s the gameplay trailer for Yo-kai Watch:

Yo-kai Watch (3DS) comes out on November 6th in North America, December 5th in Japan, and next year in Europe.
