Monster Hunter X: details for the Raizex; new screenshots and artworks

Monster Hunter XThis week, Famitsu published a rather large article about Monster Hunter X, mainly focusing one of the four main monsters of the game: the Raizex, a flying Wyvern. Its personality is extremely violent, and it doesn’t like trespassers: anyone trying to go into its territory will get killed.

It has some electric organs inside its body, which is why he can charge electricity with “Electric Charge State” (it increases the power and range of its attacks). It’s for this reason that the Raizex is also known as the “Thunder Wyvern”.

Here’s some of its attacks:

  • Crest Attack: the Raizex uses the crest on its head to attack. When it uses it at the same time as an Electric Charge State, the crest becomes some sort of electric blade, which, as you can imagine, is even more deadly.
  • Claw Wing Attack: the Raizex uses its claws to rip its preys apart.
  • Lightning Attack: the Raizex throw two thunderbolts from its mouth.
  • Tail Attack: the Raizex uses its tail to attack. When used at the same time as an Electric Charge State, the tails also discharges electricity.
  • Electric Charge State: a special state the Raizex can use, and which charges its crest, tails and wings with electricity. Not only do its attacks become even more powerful, with a bigger range, but the Raizex also gets new attacks which can only be used while under the effects of the Electric Charge State.

Finally, we get details about two supports “characters”, starting with the Nyan Cook. He’s the chef of the Felyne Bistro, and he can cook various dishes for you. One of them is a fondue made using homemade cheese. Then we have the Fenny, a new pet to be introduced in Monster Hunter X: you can dress them up, carry them, and even take naps with them.

Here’s the latest batch of screenshots and artworks for Monster Hunter X:
