Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice – Japanese release confirmed

A few weeks ago, Nintendo and SEGA announced that a new Sonic Boom game for the Nintendo 3DS would come out for the holidays, in Europe and North America. Called Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, it features gameplay mechanics (logically) based on those two elements, and it’s being developed by Sanzaru Games (who also made the first Sonic Boom game on Nintendo 3DS, last year).

And even though the first two Sonic Boom games sold rather poorly in Japan, it looks like this “sequel” will also come out in Japan. During the Sonic Anniversary event in Tokyo Joypolis, today, SEGA announced that Sonic Toon: Fire & Ice (the Japanese title) would come out this Winter (2015) in Japan.
