Mii Fighter Costumes: Consolation Prizes?

Mii-fighter-costumesAlong with new fighters, quite a lot of character costumes were added as DLC to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

For many fans, those costumes are nothing short of “consolation prizes”, for characters who didn’t make the cut. This article by Source Gaming takes a closer look at those very costumes, and tries to determine if they were indeed consolation prizes. It’s certainly not the most far-fetched of theries, but things are not as straightforward as one might think…

The Chopping Block: Possible Cuts For The Next Smash Game

2qvt4pkIf you’re a fan of Super Smash Bros., you know that the roster is a pretty sensitive topic. It’s especially true when cut characters are involved: after all, each character has its fans, who are going to be disappointed if/when it’s cut. And unfortunately, it’s guaranteed that some of them will be cut in the next Super Smash Bros. game, for various reasons: because they’re clones, because they belong to a third-party publisher, etc..

This article (which is an opinion piece) takes a look at some of the characters which could potentially be cut from the roster in the next Super Smash Bros. game. Click here to check it out!

Rumours about Nintendo’s Future Plans

In this video, Nantendo and PushDusting discuss the very juicy rumours from Emily Rogers, about Nintendo’s plans for Software for its NX platforms. But the discussion isn’t so much about whether the rumour is true, but how Nintendo can increase their Software output. You also know that some of them are a bit “special”: they are not mentioned anywhere in official documents, and with some of them, it’s not even clear if they’re actual game mechanics programmed into the game or not.

  • Will it contain new features?
  • How much of Smash for Wii U will remain intact?
  • Will any content from the 3DS version find its way into the game?
  • Without the purported technical limitations of the 3DS version, how will this affect the NX port?
  • What role, if any, will the Smash Ballot play in this game?
  • How many new characters? (New as in new to Smash NX)
  • How many new stages?
  • What could a new mode be?
  • New music pieces?
  • New Trophies?
  • How will the DLC content from Wii U/3DS work with the new game?
