3DS: screenshots for Dragon Quest VII / Fire Emblem Fates / Bravely Second

On January 19th, Nintendo held a press event dedicated to JRPG coming this year to the Nintendo 3DS. Following that, the company shared some screenshots for several games, including Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright / Conquest, and Bravely Second: End Layer.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past

Dragon Quest VIIDuring the press event, Nintendo confirmed that the English translation of Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past was completely redone. Since the original translation was rather… sketchy, this is most definitely good news.

Square-Enix previously explained that if they were to localise the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, they would have to completely redo the translation. Since the game is pretty massive, it’s no wonder the company was reluctant to do it…

Of course, the English version of the game will have all the improvements of the Japanese one: no more random encouters, story summaries, and StreetPass (lets you trade stone tablets with other players).

Here’s the screenshots for that game:
