Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure coming to Wii U

Back in August 2015, we learned that Minecraft: Story Mode would be coming to Wii U. Back then, it was the very first Minecraft game to be announced for the Wii U, though Minecraft: Wii U Edition ended up announced and released before the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode was even released.

Just like other adventure games by Telltale, Minecraft: Story Mode got an episodic release, with a new episode every couple of months or so. But on Wii U, only the very first episode was ever released… and only in North America. The other episodes are still MIA, while in Europe, nothing has been released at all.

Fortunately, it’s not like the Wii U is not going to get the rest of the episodes. It looks like Telltale Games simply decided to wait until all episodes were ready before releasing them on Wii U, as part of a retail package called Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure (something that many fans had seen coming).

That very package was recently rated by the PEGI in Europe:

Given the small active userbase of the Wii U, it was most definitely wiser to avoid the episodic release. As for this retail package, no formal announcement has been made yet, but there’s no doubt we’re getting one within the next couple of weeks.
