During the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo did give a release date/period for several amiibo in Europe, Japan, and North America, but there was no new announcement. However, it looks like the company has even more figures up its sleeves, and they should be revealed pretty soon. Indeed, some of them recently showed up on a promotional display at Target!

Here’s the figures which were leaked:

Ryu (Super Smash Bros. series)
Famicom R.O.B. (Super Smash Bros. series)
Timmy & Tommy Nook (Animal Crossing series)

The first one, Ryu, is not surprising: after all, Masahiro Sakurai himself announced that all Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS fighters (including the DLC characters) would get their own amiibo. It will (most likely) be officially announced during the upcoming broadcast for the game.

The second one, Famicom R.O.B., is a bit more surprising. It was originally released in Japan, while Europe and North America got the NES version. However, this indicates that Nintendo plans to release this figure outside Japan (at least, in North America). Just like Ryu, it will most likely be announced during the upcoming broadcast for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

As for the Timmy & Tommy Nook amiibo, it’s unclear when it will be revealed.
