Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution releasing on August 20th in Europe and North America (retail + digital)

Last month, Konami released Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution on the Nintendo eShop in Japan. It was previously rated by the ESRB, but it’s only today that Konami made an announcement about the western release of the game, which has been set to August 20th.

The ESRB rating pretty much confirmed that it would be released at retail, and Konami’s announcement does confirm that Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution will be available in stores. Players who decide to go physical will find not one, but three promotional cards inside:< the box

  • Link Monster, Progleo
  • Cyberse Monster Micro Coder
  • Spell Card Cynet Codec

Here’s what the cards look like:

Both the retail and digital versions of the game will cost 39.99€ / £39.99 / $39.99, with digital pre-orders now live on the Nintendo eShop. Unfortunately, it does not look like there’s any bonus for players who go digital.

As mentioned previously, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution includes over 9000 cards (a recording for a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG video game), based on the western version of the TCG. It’s playable in multiplayer via local wireless and online (requires Nintendo Switch Online subscription).

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution (Switch) comes out on August 20th in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Games page has been udpated!
